Pharmacy Technician Training
CTS Canadian Career College’s Pharmacy Technician program is fully accredited by the CCAPP
Pharmacy technicians have a more important role and better employment prospects than ever before. As pharmacists increasingly focus on providing direct patient care, pharmacy technicians are assuming greater responsibility for dispensing prescription medications and advising on their proper use, as well as numerous administrative tasks to ensure that both hospital and community pharmacy operations run smoothly.
Students benefit from extensive hands-on training in simulated lab environments in addition to acquiring a foundation in pharmaceutical and medical terminology, calculations for prescribing and dispensing medications, and the necessary computer skills. The Pharmacy Technician program includes 300 hours of on-the-job placement split between a community environment and hospital setting to prepare for launching your career.
CTS Canadian Career College is fully accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs and the curriculum has been established according to the highest industry standards, providing the theoretical and practical skills required to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT). Graduates are eligible to complete Structured Practical Training, the Ontario College of Pharmacists Jurisprudence exam, and the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada qualifying exam for pharmacy technicians.

I came to CTS as a second career student. I was looking for a lifelong career and decided health care was the way to go. I choose the pharmacy technician program since it wouldn't restrict me to just one job. I was nervous to start the program since I knew it wasn't going to be easy but the teachers and program coordinator are so supportive. I not only have one job in my field of study but I have two and couldn't be happier with what I have accomplished so far for myself! Thank you CTS Canadian Career College!!
