FREE 52-WEEK PARAMEDIC PROGRAM
The Paramedic Program at CTS is FREE for eligible students through the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant
The paramedic course is FREE for eligible students through the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant. The Grant covers tuition costs, any compulsory fees, books, and other direct education costs, such as supplies and equipment. Upon completion of the paramedic course, you will need to work in the region you study for a minimum of six months. Students can also apply for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) to help pay for other expenses, such as living costs.

- Our Paramedic program is specifically designed to get you back into the workforce faster. Classes are only 5 hours a day, so you have time for studying and other commitments.
Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) are the first on the scene, providing emergency services and pre-hospital medical care for those in distress. Every day on the job brings opportunities to make profound differences in people's lives. Functioning as the front line of the medical services team, paramedics perform CPR and other on-site emergency treatment for victims of accident or illness, and safely transport patients to the hospital, continuing care en route if needed. After assessing the situation, PCPs may clear the airway, apply trauma care or administer certain emergency medications. Paramedics work in teams and generally drive their own ambulances or emergency response vehicles.

Our 52-week Paramedic program provides all the necessary skills and knowledge as well as hands-on clinical and field placements to become a valuable member of the healthcare team.
